Holiday Candle Making Workshop

Join the park interpreter at Davidsonville Historic State Park to learn the history of candle making and make your own hand dipped candles. The registration deadline is December 7 and participants must be at least 12 years or older. You may register by calling 870-892-4708. Admission is $15 per person and all supplies will be provided. Davidsonville Historic State Park is located on Highway 166, fifteen minutes south of Pocahontas.

Davidsonville Lecture Series

November 14, 2015 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Join us at Davidsonville Historic State Park to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Davidsonville’s creation. Presentations will be given by professors Brooks Blevins, George Lankford, Blake Perkins and local historian Steven Saunders. Topics will focus on the early history of northeast Arkansas and Davidsonville including the roles of women in the area, why the town was created and why it died out so quickly. The event is free of charge but a $5 Dutch oven lunch will be available for those who pre-register by November 9. If you choose to not register for lunch please bring your own. Davidsonville Historic State Park – Adventure Camp

Do the kids need something fun and educational to do this summer? Send them to Adventure Camp at Davidsonville Historic State Park! Nature, history, swimming, hiking, fishing, and more! Camp is for kids ages 8-12 and space is limited. Reservations are required at least three days before camp starts. Ask about family discounts.
