Black River Expedition

Need to get outside and away from the holiday crowds for a bit? Davidsonville is the place to be. The Early Arkansas Reenactors Association launch their 2016 Black River Expedition from the Davidsonville Boat Launch at 8am on December 27th. Join the park interpreter and learn how Arkansans during the 1800s traveled on the river before the Keelboat Aux Arc starts its journey downriver.

Geocaching Scavenger Hunt

September 17th, 2016 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Cost: $5.00 per team. Technology and a sharp mind will serve you well on Davidsonville’s fun and challenging Geocaching course. Find waypoint, solve riddles, and you might just find a treasure at the end of the hunt. Bring a GPS, good walking shoes, and your sense of adventure. Sign up solo or in teams of up to three and discover parts of the park that most visitors never see. Early registration is required, call the park to sign up. Visit the Visitor Center to sign in and begin the hunt.

A Trial by Jury Dinner Party

A Trial by Jury Dinner Party

Meeting Place: Powhatan Historic State Park Courthouse
Justice is served and you are the jury. After enjoying an evening Dutch oven meal, guests will proceed to the 1888 Courthouse. There they will take part in a living history drama where they judge the guilt or innocence of a man accused of murder. The drama is based upon an actual trial that took place in the same courtroom. Dress casual or wear your favorite 19th century costume.
